Sound Biblical Preaching
We seldom hear true, sound, biblical teachings in the majority of religious congregations of our day. The Bible tells us that the time would come when people would not be able to endure sound doctrine and that they would heap up teachers to please their itching ears with lies. (II Timothy 4:2-4) This is definitely the day that we live in since it is very rare to find preachers who teach the full truths of God's Word. A God-pleaser will desire holiness 'on the inside' and "conduct" that bears the fruit of holiness. REMEMBER WHO WE ARE ON THE INSIDE IS THE 'REAL US.' We may fake being 'loving' while harboring bitterness and anger in our hearts. God sees it and tells us to get rid of these sins.
Eph.4:31-32 makes it very clear! 'Let ALL bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking, BE PUT AWAY FROM YOU, with ALL malice. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, EVEN AS God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.'
There you have it clear and to the point.NO EXCUSES! As Christians we have a new life, we are new creations indwelt by the Holy Spirit. The power of God within us enables us to obey this N.T. COMMANDMENT. We are accountable and responsible for our attitudes and lifestyle! (quoted by 'AFlame4God')
